The participating schools are Catalonia, Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Romania. They all have students similar in age to our own, and so there will be lots of opportunities for our students to get to know other young people from across Europe through emails, website work, videos and more.
During our project the students will have the oppurtinity to observe awell known tree in their area all year long. During one week in each season they will make a graphic( charts) and compare it with the weather in another countries. They’ ll make their own vegetable garden. They’ll go natura walking. During the walking they’ll collectnatural materials such as; stone , branches , sand etc. .Then they’ll create their own sculptures.
We see the main benefits of the project as:
- Our students are being given a ‘real’ reason and a great opportunity to broaden their horizons through study, knowledge and understanding of other cultures.
- Their English language skills will benefit from being involved in the project.
- The project will help to build teams, both within the classroom and amongst teachers.
- Our teachers will have the opportunity to learn about different approaches to and styles of education, and to share best practice with teachers from other European cultures.
We are very excited about the project, and would welcome any input from parents. You’ll be seeing lots more about the project over the coming months, but please feel free to contact us at school if you would like to learn more about the project.

NATURE in WINTER, ANTALYA
With temperatures plummeting across Anatolia and grey skies lowering over cities like İstanbul and Ankara, many Turks and expats too look longingly south to the Mediterranean. Blue skies, blue seas, citrus trees groaning under the weight of their fruit, days warm enough to sit out and enjoy pavement-cafe life, the sparkle of snow on the Toros Mountain backdrop — what’s not to like?
For once the most obvious Mediterranean destination, Antalya, whose tourism gurus claim (with some justification) to be blessed with 300 days of sunshine annually, is also the best.
OBSERVATION of POMEGRANATE inWINTER
In Winter the leaves of Pomagranate trees fall down. They are naked and you can’t see pomegranates only the rotten

PIGGY in THE MIDDLE
It is a children’s game in which two or more players must pass a ball to one another, while a player in the middle attempts to intercept it. While one of the team is trying to hit people in the middle with the ball, players attempt to keep the ball away from them. The game has a worldwide use of playing; mostly in many countries. The game may be played while some people (esp. children) get bored playing other stuffs, and/or maybe just for fun.
Our students played this game by the help of their teachers. In order to carry on the traditinal Street games, they had enjoyable time and energetic day.
There are two team. One of the team stands in the middle and the rest stand outside. A player outside the circle must then throw the ball through the circle to another person outside the circle with the goal being to prevent the person who is it from getting to the ball. This continues until the person who is it catches the ball or otherwise gains possession due to a failed catch, deflection, etc. An intended recipient who fails to catch the ball replaces the person in the middle, unless they fail after the ball touches any part of their body. The ball cannot be torn out of any of the players hands.
HANDKIERCHIEF PUSS GAME
There are two teams and one referee.
-Each team must be equal in number and they will stand 25 metres away from eachother.
-In the middle there must be a line and the referee must stand here with a handkierchief on his hand.
-The referee calls the name of the first students in each team. They run and try to clutch the handkercief first.
– The player who clutches the handkierchief must reach the line of his team. The other player try to catch him.
-If he can turn back without being caught, the other player will cut out the game or If he is caught, he will cut out the game.
-Then The referee calls the second players and the game goes on just like this.
– Whoever has the most players, That team will win the game

Our Garden;
Antalya is certainly best known for its sunny weather and high summer temperatures, which regularly rise above 30°C / 86°F between June and September, and at times reach 35°C / 95°F.
However, the high levels of humidity can make the summer climate feel even hotter, together with the noticeable lack of northerly winds.
